Paul’s banking job took him to the North, our romantic trips started in the south. We love both… and then we also discovered Sicily. We nearly chose an Umbrian palazzio to be our new boutique hotel adventure – but then chose Marrakech for different reasons. In more recent years, we’ve explored the areas around Venice and Sorrento through the most gorgeous boutique hotels, choosing where to tour by the foods of each area. Italian friends love to share their most local produce. The meditteranean diet suits us, and Italian food is in Paul’s dna for some reason – must get one of those dna test kits !
