1970s wooden kitchen tool - what is it used for?

 WHAT IS IT ?

If your head isn’t fried with pre Christmas stuff, can you throw some light in this wee object?. The back story… We’re renting our house from some 70’s foodies cos the place is coming down in kitchen tools and no end of tables and chairs!! I was looking for a ‘de-pipper’ if that’s a word- for olives for a lunch dish today.
Came across this wooden object ( about the size of my hand ) and wondered about sitting the olive on a beer bottle and aiming the stub through the centre!

Surely that can’t be it’s purpose.

p.s. any other solutions please say.

May 2020: We have the answer from the house owner – it’s a tin opener – Really !!!
