It´s a journey
Food, cooking, and travel are fundamental to our lives, and this blog is for those who feel the same.
It’s not about becoming a professional chef but about mastering everyday activities like eating, cooking, and living, so you can be the boss of your kitchen and your life. We have this daily mantra to help keep us on track!
Both cooking and life are tough but rewarding journeys. Through our travels and life experiences, we’ve learned that the right tools, tips, and travel experiences are invaluable.
As ex-hospitality professionals with over 30 years of experience, we understand the industry inside out. We’re an Anglo-Irish couple, a front-of-house/back-of-house team, switching roles often for a balanced dynamic.
Now digital nomads based in Spain (or wherever we are now), we live like locals wherever we go, immersing ourselves in the culture through local food traditions and uncovering life’s gems.

where we are now
We didn’t take a gap year in our 20s, thinking it would be more fun later with wiser heads. So here we are, having gone further.
We’ve simplified life to the max.
We left our professional careers & businesses behind, selling the hotel, restaurant, portrait business, cars, studio, home, and most possessions.
We left with just a suitcase each… half for clothes, half for kitchen and well-being items – hand luggage for shoes, admin, and computers. To keep paperwork down, this blog records what we learn, including the best tools, tips, and inspirations for living our best life.
